Follow this step by step tutorial if you want some help downloading the most popular stand-alone IRC chat client, mIRC. This is a very customizable client and is first choice by many users. Guide created by Origon.

Step  6) On the next screen you are presented with a license agreement which you should at least skim through before clicking 'Yes' and continuing with the installation process.

Step  7) Here, simply 'Browse' for the installation folder, type in your own path, or simply leave the folder path as it is. This is where mIRC will be installed to.

Step  8) Leave all of the checkboxes as they are and click 'Install' to begin the installation.

Step  9) Once the installation has finished, you will be presented with a window that has the 'Finish' button, but before you click it, tick the box that says "Launch mIRC' to save you some time. If you don't tick the box, launch mIRC manually after the installation has finished."

Step 10) When mIRC opens, you will be presented with a window that encourages you to register. You do NOT have to register mIRC but simply click 'Continue' in the box. This will appear every time until mIRC is registered and clicking 'Continue' every time will work."
